How does the Self-service Lending system work
In the Self-Service Lending Library, you can find about 6000 volumes of books available on the open access shelves, classified into different medical specializations. They may be borrowed for up to 15 calendar days so as not to restrict other students access to the whole range of important textbooks.
A book can be borrowed by using the self-check machine, which allows communication with library system Aleph and users identification, checking account balance and self-registration borrowed and returned books. At the end of each self-service session a list of all the operations performed is printed.
You cannot renew or lend the same book immediately just after returning it. Please note that returned books must be put on the trolleys. If You need further assistance please contact Lending Library staff.
Please be advised that you are charged a daily fine for each item not returned by its due date. Fines are accrued at 1 zloty per item, per day.
