According to the Act of 4 February 1994 on Copyright and Related Rights, (Journal of Laws [Dz.U.] of 1994, No. 24, item 83 as amended; consolidated text: Dz.U. 2016, item 666) it is possible to make copies of documents for personal use.
There is a Central Printing System machine available in the Reading Room, which allows for making photocopies, printing, scanning and emailing materials on your own.
The devices may only be used by users with an ID, i.e. MUW students and staff (the machine is activated by swiping the electronic student ID or employee ID against the reader). For students, printing and copying is done for a fee – students may top up their Central Printing System accounts only through the payments portal - see instructions.

A3 – PLN 0.24 (PLN 2 in colour)
A4 – PLN 0.12 (PLN 1 in colour)
You are allowed to make non-invasive copies using your own devices (a camera, mobile phone) – with the flash lamp turned off. Consent to making photographs is each time granted by the librarian on duty (see "Regulamin udostępniania zbiorów i świadczenia usług Biblioteki Głównej WUM").
It is not allowed to copy undistributed publications, including master's and bachelor's theses and PhD dissertations. The rare and valuable library materials, as well as books in bad condition are not allowed to copy.
Users making copies from library materials are subject to the provisions of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights and therefore are liable for any infringement.
